Traditional watercolor brushes for grease pencil - Blender 3.4+
Recently, I revisited one of my first videos where I explored how to get a watercolor style with grease pencil.
Well, 2.5 years and multiple Blender updates later, how I would tackle this goal is completely different. This new brush pack makes use of the stroke outline feature introduced in Blender 3.4 (which has been a game-changer for me!), and the brushes are made from real watercolor textures that I made myself, scanned and digitized. I think the result is a much more natural, painterly look than I've ever been able to achieve.
I made this video about these new brushes and how they compare to my first brush pack. I also explore what I do differently, and what new techniques and tools I use. I recommend watching it to see how I add the brushes, and tips for using them.
This pack consists of 108 brushes, divided by into 6 different color folders. They are yours to use for unlimited personal and commercial works, just don't redistribute them.
Also included is my real-time process video footage of using these brushes to create the cover artwork.
1 hour and 45 minutes of silent process video, divided into 3 sections.
And the .blend file of this artwork.
Thank you!
